About Trudi
Trudi Smith brings a fresh approach to design in the Upstate New York Finger Lakes Region. She is a Caps Certified Interior Designer with expertise in interior architecture. Her education in Architectural Design and time spent on job sites gives her a keen understanding of the construction of your home.
A self-proclaimed architecture nerd, Trudi has always taken the path less traveled. You’ll often find her on the back roads of New York gaining inspiration from Upstate's unique structures. Timber frames, cobblestone homes, and centuries-old barns are among her favorite.
She isn't your typical girl on a job site. Childhood tree houses led
to taking every shop class her high school offered. Trudi is used to
being the only girl. You'll still find her rehabbing an old door or most
recently joining a class of women whose dream it was to build a timber
frame structure.
Trudi knows the importance of creating balance. Whether between
the interior and exterior, or work and private spaces, she designs
spaces that it bring calm and promote rejuvenation.
A nature lover at heart, when she is not working, Trudi can be found
kayaking with her husband of 33 years. Ending the day around the
campfire with family and friends is what it is all about for them.
Misssion Statement
Creating homes that feed the soul and fuel families.
Empowering Clients to enjoy life every day.

Another reason I chose Trudi is her CAPS certification. Given that this is our retirement home, Trudi was able to incorporate creative designs that will better allow us to stay in the home.
